[01:20:53] <Crocodil> Hi :)
[01:20:56] * stevegt has joined #trac
[01:21:18] <Crocodil> Could someone please help me with Apache configuration for trac?
[01:21:46] <misc> ie ?
[01:21:58] <Crocodil> its running now at http://mywebsite.com/cgi-bin/trac/...
[01:22:38] <Crocodil> and what should I do for it to run on http://mywebsite.com/projects/MyFirstProject/... ?
[01:22:46] <Crocodil> i've tried ScriptAlias
[01:23:15] <Crocodil> but a line "ScriptAlias /projects/MyFirstProject /var/www/cgi" doesn't work
[01:24:01] <Crocodil> so does anyone kno how I can do it?
[01:24:33] <misc> i think you need mod_rewrite magic for this
[01:24:54] <Crocodil> I've also tried it... :)
[01:25:23] <Crocodil> probably I'm doing something wrong
[01:26:04] <Crocodil> but It only works the first time - http://mywebsite.com/projects/MyFirstProject - goes to the right page
[01:26:33] <Crocodil> but afterwards all links go back to http://mywebsite.com/cgi-bin/trac/
[01:29:21] <Crocodil> any idea why it is so?

[02:53:43] <prologic> athomas, u about mate ?
[03:04:50] <athomas> yeah, what's up?
[03:05:35] <prologic> ah cool
[03:05:50] <prologic> just wondering how trac-hacks registers an entry in the timeline when a user registers
[03:06:35] <Moof> athomas: thanks for applying the xmlrpc patch, btw. Having lots of fun integrating my error reporting system into trac
[03:07:26] <prologic> Moof, what's that for ?
[03:07:54] <Moof> prologic: error in ticket.update()
[03:08:03] <Moof> really minor thing, btu was bugging me
[03:08:18] <prologic> hmm k
[03:08:29] <athomas> prologic: it creates a wiki page for each user, with tags etc. it also adds lists the hacks the user is involved with
[03:08:40] <athomas> moof: np
[03:08:57] <prologic> athomas, is this a trac-hacks specified plugin ?
[03:09:06] <prologic> I use the AccountManager plugin here
[03:09:15] <athomas> yes. TracHacksPlugin
[03:09:18] * contingencyplan has joined #trac
[03:09:26] <athomas> yeah it requires AccountManager
[03:09:39] <Moof> my system reports errors automaticlly so our developers can fix them or ignore them as appropriate. I've set it up in such a way that I can uniquely identify error types, even if they appear in separate instalations or separate versions, and then just append a "this error report alos applies" comment to the ticket.
[03:10:12] * Moof has to go :(
[03:10:55] <athomas> see ya moof

[06:12:38] <sylvain13> Hi all.
[06:12:46] <Blackhex> sylvain13: hi
[06:13:24] <sylvain13> I have trouble with trac :-)
[06:14:36] <Blackhex> who doesn't :-)
[06:15:04] <sylvain13> When I add a ticket, nothings happen : I'm back on the start page, and nothing else : no ticket, no error, nothing.
[06:15:30] <sylvain13> Debian, Apache2 / ModPython
[06:15:30] <Blackhex> in log too?
[06:16:59] <s0undt3ch> ppl, trac support what besides subversion, darcs? and?
[06:17:27] <prologic> bzr
[06:17:33] <prologic> and a few others
[06:17:55] <prologic> 0.10 is suppose to have better backend support apparently
[06:18:04] <Blackhex> there is mercurial plugin i see
[06:18:13] <prologic> yeap that's the one ;)
[06:19:21] <sylvain13> Well, in log too, but this is a "normal" behaviour : the "action" form the form (in html) is the path of the start page...
[06:20:24] <coderanger_> s0undt3ch: http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/wiki/VersioningSystemBackend
[06:21:10] <sylvain13> I have a idea, but I wanted to ask before : the apache2 server is on port 8080, not 80, can this cause problems ?
[06:21:42] <s0undt3ch> coderanger_: thanks

[11:05:32] <Eridius|work> oh how ironic
[11:05:59] <Eridius|work> when going through the spam today, the first spam comment on a previously-cleaned page started with "Hi, I think you should clean your page from all this crap." Then of course it had all of "this crap" after it
[11:08:58] <puetzk> Eridius|work: see, if you'd clean up everyone elses than his would be more effective

[11:52:13] <Le_Vert> how do I can custom my trac css ?
[11:52:33] <Le_Vert> I have edited site_css.cs in the rproject environment subdirectory
[11:52:38] <Le_Vert> but it doesn't change anything
[11:52:54] <Le_Vert> it's not included in the generate html code...
[11:53:00] <Le_Vert> do I miss something ?
[11:57:24] <coderanger_> That should do it

[12:02:00] <coderanger_> You don't want it inside the <?cs ?> tag
[12:02:26] <Le_Vert> it is
[12:05:14] <Le_Vert> could you give me an example
[12:05:32] <Le_Vert> there's not one on the trac guide...
[12:06:17] <coderanger_> Just move your line to below the ?> tag
[12:08:13] <Le_Vert> like this
[12:08:15] <Le_Vert> http://pastebin.com/739871
[12:08:15] <Le_Vert> ?
[12:08:34] <Le_Vert> (internal server error :p)
[12:10:19] <Le_Vert> got it working
[12:10:39] <Le_Vert> ### line in <?cs seems to be usefull
[12:13:02] <coderanger_> You may just want to look at the SysCss plugin on trac-hacks
[12:13:10] <coderanger_> That just takes a normal CSS file
[12:14:06] <Le_Vert> I'm noob with trac
[12:14:12] <Le_Vert> but it seems really awesome
[12:14:18] <Le_Vert> got it working in a few minutes
[12:14:57] <Le_Vert> (I'm interrsted in getting a right menu bar as like the trac's trac)
[12:15:06] <Le_Vert> any template here ? ;)
[12:19:27] <coderanger_> Nope
[12:19:49] <coderanger_> I have been trying to get more people to post sample themes and such, but no one has yet
[12:19:55] <coderanger_> I have one up at trac-hacks
[12:20:38] <Le_Vert> I don't have many things to post
[12:20:52] <Le_Vert> but i'll send you if I make nice mods
[12:21:07] <Le_Vert> for now we just need a devel environment, simple and fast :)

[19:06:57] <BaconTastesGood> is there a way to disable generating the Title Index link?
[19:07:25] <BaconTastesGood> or at least have it inaccessible to anonymous viewers?
[19:51:22] <BaconTastesGood> is there a way to disable generating (or masking out) the Title Index link?
[19:51:36] <athomas> no
[19:51:45] <BaconTastesGood> bah. ok.
[19:51:52] <BaconTastesGood> I'd like a way to put in 'hidden' pages
[19:51:57] <BaconTastesGood> where you have to have a direct link or something

[22:33:17] <schoinobates> Hi. Would someone be so kind as to explain me what the Subversion support in Trac does, besides permitting people to browse the source like cvsweb?
[22:34:54] <schoinobates> In particular, is there any integration between the tickets and subversion? For example, does the ticket subsystem know in which branch it which ticket is closed, can one close a ticket from subversion (e.g. by mentioning it in the commit message), ...?
[22:37:31] <athomas> yes, trac-post-commit-hook
[22:40:07] <schoinobates> And it keeps track across merges between branches of where the fix is, then?
[22:42:04] <athomas> it refers to a changeset
[22:42:13] <athomas> eg. (In rxxxx) fixes #123
[22:44:25] <schoinobates> OK, but if I use "svn merge" to merge the fix to another branch, will it notice?
[22:44:48] <athomas> no
[22:45:02] <schoinobates> OK. Thank you for the information.
[22:45:15] <athomas> typically, you say "merged log:trunk@xxx:yyy
[22:45:34] <athomas> which creates a link to the log history for that range of changesets
