[00:39:56] <angrymike> Hi all
[00:40:16] <angrymike> I am trying to use the AccountManager plugin across multiple trac installations
[00:40:24] <angrymike> and I want to share the password file
[00:40:32] <angrymike> Is this possible?
[00:42:00] <pacopablo> SURE
[00:42:06] <pacopablo> oops, sorry for the caps
[00:42:19] <pacopablo> simply use the same path
[00:42:29] <pacopablo> gtg, good luck
[00:42:30] <angrymike> yea I am getting permission denied errors. :(
[00:42:45] <angrymike> I think it has to be in the Trac Enviornment. ??
[00:43:11] <angrymike> thanks though

[01:29:50] * cmlenz has joined #trac
[01:56:04] * __doc__ has joined #trac
[01:56:32] <__doc__> there's a fancy "changeset closes ticket" thing around, how do I use this, is it buildin?
[01:58:50] <ptman> in contrib, there is a subversion post-commit-script called "trac-post-commit-hook"
[01:59:37] <ptman> put it in your subversion repository, like the documents (in the file) say, and you can put "fixes #34" in the commit message, which closes ticket #34
[02:09:36] <__doc__> ic, thx
[02:12:14] <__doc__> you know what would be kewl?
[02:12:20] <__doc__> timeline integrated in trac :D
[02:12:26] <__doc__> http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/
[02:24:16] <ptman> I would like to have a good way of tracking time
[02:24:30] <ptman> there is an open ticket about it
[02:24:42] <ptman> but it might not be quite what I'm looking for

[14:27:23] <rfligg> Does anyone have a working Apache2 mod_python config
[14:27:29] <rfligg> I have a very odd problem
[14:27:45] <rfligg> all my URLs are malformed
[14:27:52] <rfligg> http://192.168.45.4:16000/error/HTTP_FORBIDDEN.html.var/ca/
[14:28:02] <rfligg> main site is http://192.168.45.4:16000/
[14:28:13] <rfligg> trac project directory is /ca
[14:28:30] <rfligg> in between I always get /error/HTTP_FORBIDDEN.html.var/
[14:28:50] <rfligg> not sure where this is coming from
[14:29:00] <rfligg> think it might be URL_Rewrite issue
[14:29:06] * pacopablo has left #trac

[14:29:47] * converter has quit IRC
[14:30:06] <pacopablo> boorad: danp is ahving postgresql connection issues when using pyPgSQL
[14:35:19] * converter has joined #trac
[14:36:52] <rfligg> looks like you guys are as stumped as I am :-)
[14:37:05] <pacopablo> no, I think this is a different issue
[14:37:30] <rfligg> my malformed URL's or your issue pacopablo?
[14:38:24] <pacopablo> your malformed URLS
[14:38:37] <pacopablo> pastebin the relevant portions of your config
[14:38:41] <pacopablo> @faq pastebin
[14:38:41] <evil_twin> pacopablo: "pastebin" is http://trac.pastebin.com
[14:42:23] <boorad> pacopablo, danp: I had to switch from psycopg2 back to pyPgSQL because of my connection leak issues - have had few since
[14:45:55] <tuxipuxi> cmlenz: having a weird problem.. i've used mantis2trac to convert a (german) mantis database to trac. after changing the summary of a ticket from within the trac interface trac oops'ed with a decoding error. the summary contains an umlaut and mantis2trac imported all tickets using utf-8. i'm not sure what's going on there, do you have a guess?
[14:46:10] <pacopablo> boorad: danp is saying that he's having the issues with pyPgSQL
[14:46:33] <boorad> the same issue, with connections not closing?
[14:46:47] <pacopablo> that's what he said
[14:46:52] <pacopablo> danp: ping
[14:47:32] <boorad> well, I always thought that the db client code (Trac) should clean up and not actually have any reliance on a gc doing its job.
[14:47:55] <boorad> but even with me putting db.close() everywhere, the problem persisted.
[14:48:02] <pacopablo> well, I know there is a push to go to SQLAlchemy in 0.11
[14:48:35] <boorad> currently, I have fastcgi processes that are growing in memory usage slowly, not sure if it's just shifted the problem elsewhere, but at least I don't have any issues with orphaned db connections
[14:48:56] <boorad> I'm transitioning off that server, and will use it for something else, most likely wiping it clean, first.
[14:49:31] <boorad> I may actually give Federico (psycopg author) access to it, so he can maybe find something that lets him trap the issue, before I wipe it clean
[14:49:58] <boorad> here's to hoping SQLAlchemy solves it permanently
[14:50:00] * boorad drinks
[15:02:29] <tuxipuxi> trac uses UTF-8 internally, correct?
[15:03:48] <danp> boorad: i'm using pypgsql and it seems i'm still having leak problems
[15:04:02] <danp> i'm using two fastcgi processes and i have 15 connections to postgres
[15:04:31] <danp> i still want to try tracd but i can't figure out how to solve my URL problem
[15:04:58] * praedar has joined #trac
[15:05:39] <rfligg> danp, what is your URL problem
[15:05:44] <rfligg> we may have the same thing going on
[15:06:20] <danp> the docs indicate that if you run tracd for one project it's stuff will be at the root (like /timeline, /browser, etc.) but that doesn't seem to be how it really works
[15:06:27] <danp> its even

[15:21:14] <xjjk> what are the consequences if a plugin changed trac's CWD...
[15:21:21] <xjjk> bad, or it doesnt matter
[15:22:05] <pacopablo> don't think it should matter
[15:22:22] <pacopablo> though can't promise anything
[15:23:51] <xjjk> pacopablo: I guess I'll see... ty
