[00:02:36] * cmlenz has joined #trac
[00:08:43] <alect> hey cmlenz
[00:08:50] * lightcap_ has quit IRC
[00:08:56] <alect> hey you updated to the latest accountmanager?
[00:08:58] <alect> mgood fixed it
[00:13:20] <coderanger_> alect: 9 is so not happening
[00:13:27] <pacopablo> hehe
[00:13:31] <coderanger_> But my code works! :)
[00:13:38] <pacopablo> nice
[00:13:57] <alect> so not
[00:20:31] * coderanger_ has quit IRC
[00:21:00] <cmlenz> alect: r2031 is installed, but doesn't seem to fix the problem
[00:21:52] <alect> :(
[00:22:15] <alect> that sucks. sprint starts tomorrow
[00:22:53] * asmodai yawns
[00:22:55] <cmlenz> where "tomorrow" is in a couple hours, no?
[00:23:02] <alect> yeah
[00:23:07] <alect> 7-8 hours from now
[00:23:13] <alect> will you still be awake then?
[00:23:14] <cmlenz> well, I'll definitely be available then
[00:23:20] <alect> ok cool
[00:23:27] <cmlenz> it's 9am here :-)
[00:23:29] <alect> on that note, i must sleep
[00:23:30] <alect> ah :)

[03:19:51] <freek> Hi all, wondering what the complementary differences are between the services Source Fourge provides and the Trac functionality, anyone?
[03:24:01] * goldeagle has joined #trac
[03:25:59] <freek> The way I understand (and use) Trac, it could be used to replace the ticketing system (for feature requests and bug fixes) and provide correlation with milestone's. With one downside, being the fact that there is a local SVN repository required near the Trac installation, or could the SF.net webspace be used to host Trac with access to the SF.net SVN repo?

[04:56:12] <jonasn> yield 'mainnav', 'helloworld', '<a href="%s">hello</a>' % escape(self.env.href.helloworld())
[04:57:05] <jonasn> But the button on the main navigation shows the html not the text hello and you can't click on it.
[04:57:52] <jonasn> how do I make it a normal link ?
[04:59:39] <jonasn> alternative question: where do I find what arguments I should provide to "yield"?

I checked all the bindings and the pid map's to confirm they both were calling the proper version of the pysqlite library. The trac standalone daemon worked fine so it was an apache issue. Traced it down to php 5.1.6 pdo module for sqlite. A quick comment out of the extension line in the /etc/php.d/pdo_sqlite.ini and rehup of th

[09:43:10] <cmlenz> I'm going to just create passwords for you guys... or do you want to send me the digests? would probably take to long, eh?
[09:43:58] <alect> we have a conventiion of prefixing our commit messages with the wiki name of the sandbox
[09:44:05] <alect> so if you want to create a specific wiki page for your sandbox and use that, go for it

[09:47:36] <jwhitlark> tnx
[09:49:22] <lisppaste5> mDuff pasted "WikiText not acting as I expect" at http://paste.lisp.org/display/37432
[09:49:32] <mDuff> WikiText isn't behaving as I expect it. I have a numeric-list item where I nest a bulleted list under a numeric list item. I'm trying to then back out of the bulleted list and add a paragraph under the numeric list item, but it's being treated as a separate numeric list item. Anyone mind taking a look?

[09:55:31] <thatch> mDuff: if you want the "Easy of integration..." paragraph not indented, then remove leading whitespace. You'll then need to edit the next list item to be 2 or whatever.
[09:57:51] <mDuff> thatch: I want it indented to the same extent that the "Subversion is in many respects less ad-hoc" text is indented; it should be a continuation of the first numbered list entry.

[10:05:34] <mDuff> thatch: I should file this as an issue against the trac project, then?
[10:05:49] <thatch> I'll file it with the minimum required to reproduce. I imagine the wiki parser will be refactored before it's fixed though... try rst in the meantime?
[10:06:00] <thatch> mDuff: yeah, you can file it.
[10:06:24] <thatch> in fact, I suggest you do.
[10:07:33] <mitsuhiko> alect: sprinting?
[10:08:54] <mDuff> thatch: I can handle the description, but could you come up with a summary for this that a 3rd party could quickly understand to get an idea of what the bug's about? I'm having trouble coming up with something adequately terse.
[10:09:58] <blais> mblais user access does not work
[10:10:05] <thatch> mDuff: maybe... Unable to return to previous indentation in wiki
[10:10:14] <mDuff> That works; thankya!

[10:15:26] <redir> is there a convention for performing strptime on SQL queries?
[10:16:26] <blais> new logins work.
[10:16:29] <mDuff> thatch: filed as #4848
[10:18:41] <pacopablo> I think that one of the reports has some examples

[10:24:48] <mDuff> Can trac be told to reread revprops from a specific revision (ie. where svn:log has been changed) without a full resync?
[10:25:15] * mDuff has a svn repository with 30,000 revisions imported from CVS on top of new development; resyncs take some time.

[10:27:21] <helmut> Hi. Can I set up trac to be fully controllable via mail? (i.e. is this possible?) And how difficult would that be? (one patch? editing 50 config files? just an estimation)
[10:29:04] <pacopablo> helmut, define fully controlable
[10:29:19] <pacopablo> there is the email to trac script
[10:29:29] <pacopablo> that lets one submit and update tickets via email
[10:29:48] <pacopablo> but ahta's the only "email" control that is available
[10:30:25] <helmut> pacopablo: fully controlable means I can do everything with bugs I can do via web. (create, modify, close, etc.)
[10:32:09] <pacopablo> look at the email2trac script on trac-hacks.org
[10:32:16] <helmut> thanks!

[10:43:50] <matt_good> pacopablo: here's the sqlite datetime methods: http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/wiki?p=DateAndTimeFunctions
[10:45:21] <alect> cmlenz: thatch should have some stuff somewhere
[10:45:39] <thatch> cmlenz: http://timhatch.com/photos/v/mine/20070223-pycon/
[10:45:43] <thatch> I hate flickr.
[10:45:54] <pacopablo> redir: : look at the link matt_good posted
[10:46:27] <cmlenz> heh
[10:46:48] <thatch> cmlenz: check out the last item under the trac talk, I entered that under "best photo" a few hours late, we'll see what comes of it
[10:47:33] <cmlenz> neat :-)
[10:47:38] <thatch> cmlenz: there's also a panorama but it requires quicktime for now
[10:47:42] <alect> thatch: can i get the details for your lenses?
[10:47:51] <alect> any time, no hurry :)
[10:47:55] <cmlenz> <- has quicktime
[10:48:06] <matt_good> redir: there's now "strptime", but the date, datetime, and julianday methods will do parsing based on their format parameter
[10:48:33] <cmlenz> so that was actually the trac talk? pretty full, eh?
[10:48:42] <alect> yeah definitely
[10:48:52] <alect> about half were already using it, the other half just interested
[10:49:04] <alect> it was pretty cool
[10:49:07] <alect> lots of questions at the end
[10:49:13] <alect> 6 or 7 maybe
[10:49:18] <alect> workflow of course ;)
[10:49:20] <alect> and secureity
[10:49:25] <alect> -e
[10:49:33] <thatch> cmlenz: http://timhatch.com/ex/2007/02/trac-dinner2.mov is the rough version. The half heads will be fixed when I get access to a fast machine that can actually run Photoshop
[10:49:50] <thatch> cmlenz: yeah, the only question we weren't asked (that I almost went up to do) is "Why do you guys use milestones wrong."
[10:50:23] <alect> heh

[10:52:20] <thatch> alect: Yeah, we can talk lenses. I want to see some real-world samples with yours too.
[10:53:19] <alect> cool
