How can I remove a plugin once installed (the uninstall button is deactivated)? I removed the .egg file file from the plugins dir and the corresponding entries in the trac.ini. Still the plugins show up in the admin section. |
| [03:33:22] |
<orkam_wrk> |
I can't find anything helpfull for that issue in the docs... |

i'll take a look at it tomorrow |

orkam_wrk: you have to restart your web server |
| [03:39:36] |
<orkam_wrk> |
I did that |
| [03:39:43] |
<orkam_wrk> |
The plugins still show up |
| [03:40:04] |
<aat> |
could be in your egg cache perhaps |
| [03:40:12] |
<okamoun> |
Sorry just a small question is there a way in the trcquery to use the current dat fo example to report the tickets changed today ? |
| [03:40:37] |
<orkam_wrk> |
1) renamed (not removed) the eggs in plugin dir 2) deletet trac.ini entries 3) restarted apache |
| [03:40:38] |
<orkam_wrk> |
where is the egg cache? is it documented? |
| [03:40:48] |
<aat> |
yes |
| [03:40:59] |
<orkam_wrk> |
ok, *searching* |
| [03:43:43] |
<orkam_wrk> |
well, echo $PYTHON_EGG_CACHE gives me an empty string. Does it mean, that I don't have an egg-cache? |
| [03:44:04] |
<aat> |
no |
| [03:44:12] |
<aat> |
it usually has to be configured in apache |
| [03:44:19] |
<aat> |
you could try just using "find" |
| [03:44:32] |
<aat> |
on whatever plugin it is |

<orkam_wrk> |
ok, trying out |

do you have multiple environments? |
| [03:47:02] |
<orkam_wrk> |
nope, just one |
| [03:48:16] |
<orkam_wrk> |
well, damn, nothing like *pluginname* on my harddisk anymore |
| [03:48:46] |
<orkam_wrk> |
still showing up. Are the plugins registered in the db anywhere? |
| [03:49:50] |
<orkam_wrk> |
there are still some tables left, that the plugins have created. But I doubt that that is the reason |
| [03:50:50] |
<orkam_wrk> |
even the logs mention, that the plugin is 'skipped'... |
| [03:51:46] |
<orkam_wrk> |
What is the expected behaviour? Deleting the egg and the plugin does not show up anymore? If yes, I'll file a ticket :) (running 0.12dev, so it might be a bug) |
| [03:53:49] |
<aat> |
that's very unlikely |
| [03:54:00] |
<aat> |
it's more likely it's something you've missed |
| [03:55:09] |
<orkam_wrk> |
Ok, sure. Any hints where I can find more docs about that (read the plugin page) I used easy_install to get the eggs and uploaded it via the form later. |
| [03:57:29] |
<aat> |
not really. if it's not on the filesystem the only thing i can think of is that your web server hasn't actually been restarted |
| [03:57:54] |

well I'll redo... |

I am trying to instantly debug Trac with my IDE. I think that I have to call some *_frontend.py file in trac.web, but I am not sure about that. I also tried calling the request_dispatch() method in trac.web.main directly, but therefore I somehow need to create the wsgi arguments. Does anyone debug Trac using an IDE and can help me? |

I'm attempting to get Trac Wikinotification set up on a server running Apache 2, Python 2.3, Trac 0.10 (using mod_python; the DB is Postgres); I have the [components] directive enabling wikinotification and ctxtnavadd in the global trac.ini (/usr/share/trac/conf/trac.ini) and local (/var/trac/proj/conf/trac.ini), but no matter what I do, I can't get the "Watch Page" button to appear on my wiki pages; anyone have any idea what's going on? |
