Experiences w/ Pyndexter
So, after fighting w/ swapoff's mail sytem and losing, here is the info:
Here is the code that I used to to do the timing, the result of the run, which hasn't finished, and I tar'd up all the logs so that you could try it on your box too.
I also ran the update() on my 2GHz Pentium M and it ran faster than the P2, but it also hadn't finished when I got up this morning. I'll get that data to you later, if you want. Right now I'm in Windows and that data is in Linux.
My box is fairly stead at a 1.0 load and it's not disk bound, as the drives are barely getting hit. The pyndexter test process only had 8 megs memory resident, and it's virtual is only 12 megs
